baltic sea zakaski (a polish shared plate of delights for two or more) - rollmops, herring in sour cream & apple, salmon caviar, house made salt cod fritter, smoked ocean trout terrine, white bait, dill pickles, horseradish marinated beetroot, russian salad, rye bread 27.5

griddled haloumi cakes - haloumi, carrot, zucchini, mint, parsley, coriander, tarragon, with salad and coconut and carrot chutney 16.5

bigos: slow cooked hunter's stew - pork belly, smoked hock, cured sausages, sauerkraut, white cabbage, onions, juniper

VerdictAfter The Tears is a great pre-movie dinner option. Also great for after the movie. Or just forget the movie. Drink vodka and eat dumplings. It's pretty good for that too.

The drink with no name: chilli infused vodka, grapefruit juice, ginger ale & fresh lime.

Baltic sea zakÄ…ski: a true taste of the northern baltic states with traditional rollmops, sliced herrings smothered in sour cream & apple, salmon caviar, a house made bacalau fritter, smoked ocean trout terrine, white bait, dill pickles, horseradish marinated beetroot, russian vegetable salad & fresh rye.

Potato & cheese pierogi: panfried & served with sour cream & caramelised onions.

Crispy saffron rice balls: crumbed saffron rice balls of with peas, fetta, celery & carrot.

Potato blintzes: traditional panfried potato pancakes served with sour cream & dill.

Pissiladiere (provençale pizza): a crisp puff pastry base with caramelised onion, marinated artichoke, sun-dried tomatoes, anchovy, black olives & shaved parmiggiano reggiano.
Lazy dumplings (leniwe pierogi): homemade ricotta dumplings sautéed in honey, cinnamon & butter, flambéed with polish plum brandy.
