Fatto - Southbank, Victoria

Octopus - potato, peppers, olive, bay leaf 12

Crab spaghettini - lemon, chilli, parsley, pangrattato 26

Insalata verde - lettuce, celery, cucumber, avocado 8

Would I go back? Definitely! After my disastrous breakfast earlier in the day, I was a little apprehensive about dining in the area again. But Fatto (formerly Trocadero) proved to be the perfect choice for lunch. The environment was stylish yet relaxed, the service was impeccable, the food was fresh and delicious. It was a lovely experience overall and now I'm just waiting for an excuse to revisit.

The Bond Store - Southbank, Victoria

smoked atlantic salmon on corn & zucchini fritters with poached egg, guacamole, sour cream and crispy capers 15.90

Would I go back? No. I was based on the other side of town for the day, and wanted to find a decent cafe for breakfast. So I did my Urbanspoon research beforehand and discovered The Bond Store. The coffee was ok, but the salmon was cold, while everything else tasted as if it'd been pre-made and reheated. Perhaps others have enjoyed more luck in their experiences, but despite the high ratings, my breakfast proved to be a very disappointing start to the day.

Luca Haus - Seddon, Victoria

French Toast topped with bacon, banana & Canadian maple syrup 15.5

Haus made Hummus on Pumpkin bread, served with Avocado, haus made beetroot relish & a side of rocket & lemon 12.5

Would we go back? Unfortunately, no. Perhaps our expectations were too inflated from other reviews, but our coffee was pretty bad, and our breakfast was fairly ordinary. The service was pleasant, and the atmosphere inside was warm and cosy. But there are better food options nearby.
