Two Birds Brewing - Spotswood, Victoria

Taco Beer (5.2%) - Two Birds Taco is brewed using ale and wheat malts, with an addition of flaked corn. Citra and Amarillo hops contribute citrus and fruity characters, which complement the additions of coriander leaf and fresh lime peel. The beer pours a hazy shade of pale and we use a clean, ale yeast to allow the fresh flavours to shine.

Brown Ale (5.5%) - Two Birds Brown Ale is brewed using ale, wheat, Crystal and brown malts, with an addition of Golden Naked Oats to contribute smoothness and a nutty note. Bramling Cross hops are used to contribute berry and raisin notes. The beer is caramel-like, roast and nutty.

Would we go back? Yes! We figured a post-movie drink and afternoon snack would be a lovely way to round off our Saturday afternoon, but we didn't expect to love it quite so much! The beer was nice (especially the Taco Beer), but it's the food that really shines - both the sandwich and the chile were jam-packed with flavour. We've never dined at Rockwell And Sons, but it has now shot up to the very top of our 'next-time-in-Collingwood-list'. The Two Birds space is industrial but comfortable, and the staff are friendly and attentive. It was a fun experience with lovely pairings of refreshing beer and delicious food - we can't wait to revisit and share this local gem with friends :) Cheers Two Birds!
